Integrative Health Coaching
Offered with our Functional Medicine Programs.
We help bridge the gap between patients and their providers, increase access to preventive care, and help individuals achieve their health and wellness goals. Our team will help you feel your best through individualized food and lifestyle changes that meet your unique needs and health goals.
Be Healthy and Happy
Your goal is our goal.
Whether your aim is to reverse a chronic condition like diabetes, hypertension, or asthma, or optimize any/all of the four pillars of health (nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management), we have the expertise, programs, and dedication to help.
The purpose of our Integrative Health Coaching is to provide holistic education and support so you can make the necessary changes that can lead to big transformations.
At Deep Roots Natural Medicine, we address the “whole you” – your emotional, physical, social, and spiritual wellbeing. Utilizing a patient-centered, private, and non-judgmental approach, our health coaching will help you identify your personal path to wellbeing through self-discovery and active learning. As you set off on your journey towards optimal health, we’ll be right alongside to help you stay on course and hold you accountable.
No two clients’ paths to wellbeing are the same – That’s why all our health coaching protocols are custom designed using the following 4-part structure to best meet individual patient needs.
4 Areas of focus
Herbs & Supplements
At Deep Roots, our in house herbal pharmacy allows us to give our patients immediate access to high quality custom and premade herbal formulas. This helps us provide you with fast and powerful results. (Note: Chinese Herbal Medicine can be used alone or in conjunction with acupuncture.)
Our Chinese herbal medicine formulas are customized and made for your unique condition. Your practitioner will blend single herbs together to create a formula that you can take on a daily basis to support your health journey. The formulations are based on Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine and are made from plants, flowers, berries, roots and minerals. Please inform your practitioner about any known allergies, medications and Western medical issues you may be experiencing.
Nutrition & Diet
Integrative and Functional Nutrition is a leading-edge, evidence-based approach to patient care that focuses on identifying root causes and imbalances to significantly improve patient health.
A healthy diet is a cornerstone of any wellness protocol, and, when properly optimized for your unique physiology, can protect you from diseases like obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and stroke.
Functional foods are typically high in important nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and fiber. Filling your diet with a variety of functional foods — including both conventional and fortified foods — can help ensure you get the nutrients your body needs to feel its best.
Finding Balance
Turn it off. Disconnect on the weekends. Minimize negative influences. Avoid toxic people. Learn how to spend time alone. Remember how to have fun – Laugh, joke, play, find your sense of humor…
Finding balance has both immediate and long term health benefits. Eating a balanced diet, engaging in regular exercise, and maintaining a healthy weight can add years to your life and reduce the risk of many diseases including cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis and obesity. To boot, it can also help you look your best, give you more energy, and improve your mood.
Staying Active
There are numerous health advantages to staying active. Physical activity promotes strong muscles and bones, helps you maintain a healthy weight, and can reduce the risk of health challenges such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cardiovascular disease, and some cancers.
Staying active can take many different forms, but many people struggle with where to start or how to find the activity that aligns with their personal health goals. At Deep Roots, we have the expertise to help you find the best exercise regimen, and the tools to help you stick to it.
